Matthew 7:1-2 More WTBN

Judge not, that ye be not judged. For with what judgment ye judge, ye shall be judged.

So Cal Thomas, America’s number one nationally syndicated columnist, is ranting about Jimmy Carter leaving the Southern Baptist church. Cal Thomas says: “Carter says the reason he’s leaving is that the Southern Baptists teach ‘subjugation’ of women to men. It teaches no such thing. What that denomination teaches is submission and it teaches, as did Paul, mutual submission.” Thomas goes on to say “He (Carter) is, frankly, pathetic.”

Carter’s ACTUAL words were: “Male religious leaders have had - and still have - an option to interpret holy teachings either to exalt or subjugate women. They have, for their own selfish ends, overwhelmingly chosen the latter.”

You see, there is a difference between SAYING the Bible teaches the subjugation of women, and USING the Bible to subjugate women. Maybe Thomas would do well to consult a dictionary. It might limit his ugly misspeakings.

A quick snoop around Cal Thomas, America’s Number One nationally syndicated political columnist’s website reveals a very real reverence for Ronald Reagan.

Jimmy Carter is remembered for attempting to broker peace in the Middle East. Ronald (6) Wilson (6) Reagan (6) made a deal with...Iran to KEEP AMERICANS HOSTAGE until after the election in exchange for arms. Once elected he then went on to supply arms to Iraq in their war against Iran, thereby arming BOTH combatants in the same conflict. THAT IS WARMONGERING, which is EVIL. Upon leaving office Jimmy Carter devoted himself to building homes for poor people. Ronald Reagan accepted a two million dollar contract to endorse Toyota in Japan. Who do you suppose lives in Christ?

Carter was a peacemaker, Reagan was a warmonger; Carter left office and ministered to the poor; Reagan left office and made himself wealthy on earth. On which man would you roll the dice and follow into the hereafter, in the hope that he’ll be dwelling with Christ?

Not ‘Christian’ Cal Thomas, who reveres Reagan and reviles Carter.

  1. Weakness is the one unforgivable sin for a leader. Cruelty is nothing in comparison.

Carter will never be forgiven for his boots-on-the-ground morality.
