Franklin Graham -- Propaganda Minister

Franklin Graham made the rounds of the media outlets last week, pushing anti Obama propaganda. Franklin blatantly portrays himself as a man of God who represents Christian values in the voting booth. He appeared on Morning Joe to try and revive doubt as to Obama’s Christianity. Franklin was very comfortable with Santorum’s Christianity, and dodged the issue of Romney's mormonism, acknowledging that most Christians would not recognize it as part of the Christian faith, but that he still was a good man who would be a good president. As to Obama, Franklin seemed to groan and shake his head when asked his opinion of the sincerity of the President’s Christianity. On CNN last week Franklin said it was going to be a stumblingblock to himself and the evangelicals.

This is part of the election year tactic for the Republicans, to attack the president as not being truly Christian. Morning Joe and CNN are two of the outlets that will be exploited to perpetuate that myth throughout the year, and Franklin is another prayerful disciple of the Lord propagating propaganda on behalf of the Republican candidate.

Franklin is a conservative, and makes his television appearances as a minister of Jesus Christ doing his small part of a godly work to return the government to the Republican people who were in power when Barack Obama was elected. Here let us open the Bible that Franklin continually ignores.

It is written: Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves. Ye shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles? Matthew 7:15-16.

By their fruits. Very well, let us recollect the works of the previous administration, as many of those people would return to work under Romney or Santorum. They spent eight years wreaking havoc under Bush. They emptied the government coffers into the wealthiest people’s pockets, and left the economy in a devastating recession. They engineered and enabled the housing bubble burst and the subsequent foreclosure tragedy, by picking middle class America’s pocket to fatten the banks. After 9/11 they ignored the most obvious response from Jesus teachings, turn the other cheek, and instead wove complicated webs of lies to justify launching two invasions on the far side of the world. More than 100,000 people perished in the senseless bloodshed, and countless thousands more were damaged physically, mentally and emotionally. They also deregulated the oil industry, which led to the half assed well that caused the Gulf oil disaster. Under conservative rule unemployment went up, the market went down, and misery and suffering were inflicted upon innumerable millions at home and abroad. And now that they’re out of power they’ve taken to bashing teachers and other unionized workers as they try to claw their way back.

These are evil fruits. These are works of the Devil. How then is it does a man take part in all these works in the name of God? Jesus tells us that you cannot. Every kingdom divided against itself is brought to desolation; and every city or house divided against itself shall not stand. And if Satan cast out Satan, he is divided against himself; how shall then his kingdom stand? Matthew 12:25-26.

Jesus was poor. Jesus would empathize with the poor, and care for them. The liberals want to help the poor and underprivileged, conservatives want to crush them. How is voting for and advancing the Republican agenda the Christian thing to do? It is not. If you are instrumental in returning the neocons to power, are you not one with them? You are.

Lately Romney is loudly hinting at war with Iran—very Christian, praying for his enemies--and has been hobnobbing with the Bush foreign policy team that brought us into Iraq, and are sowing similar seeds of propaganda and lies that justified that invasion. Would a Christian really endorse a mormon warmonger for president? Jesus also said: It is impossible but that offenses will come; but woe unto him, through whom they come! Luke 17:1.

I could memorize every line of Hamlet, don medieval Danish clothing, and deliver a stunning performance—I still wouldn’t really be Hamlet, I’d be an actor. So is Franklin a wolf in sheepskin, exactly as Jesus predicted would come; for no true brother in Christ would peddle propaganda, and no true child of God would lend himself to be a tool of the Devil.

Rick Santorum: Roman Catholic Hypocrite

Rick Santorum recently accused President Obama of having an agenda not based on the Bible. He said: “It’s about some phony ideal. Some phony theology. Oh, not a theology based on the Bible.”

Rick Santorum is a Roman Catholic, and those very words aptly apply to his church. Catholicism is the perversion that resulted when Rome got hold of the gospel of Jesus Christ. When the catholic church is not disregarding the Bible, it is outright disrespecting the book. These ways are many, and here follow a few, in no particular order.

Roman Catholics believe that Mary is an eternal virgin; that she gave birth to Jesus, and no other. The Scriptures say that Jesus had brothers and sisters. Is not this the carpenter’s son? Is not his mother called Mary? And his brethren, James, and Joses, and Simon, and Judas? And his sisters, are not they all with us? Matthew 13:55-56. This is a natural result of the consummation of the marriage of Mary and Joseph, yet the Catholic church clings tenaciously to the false belief that Mary remains a virgin ever and always.

Roman Catholics believe that Christ was crucified on Friday and resurrected on Sunday morning. According to scripture, this is impossible. When asked for a sign Jesus said the only sign that generation would receive was the sign of Jonas. For as Jonas was three days and three nights in the whale’s belly; so shall the Son of man be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth. Matthew 12:40. The Bible states that Christ spent the seventy two hours before his resurrection preaching to the dead. The space time continuum simply does not allow for the chronology of events the church presents.

Follow this link to see how the Catholics pervert the Ten Commandments. It's a side by side comparison of the two versions--the church's and the real one. The church strikes out the forbidding of making graven images, then bizarrely repeats the tenth commandment as both the ninth and tenth. This conveniently enables the self-righteousness that justifies selling billions of statues of Jesus and other saints.

When Christ gave instruction on the proper way to pray, it is written: But when ye pray, use not vain repetitions, as the heathen do: for they think that shall be heard for their much speaking. Matthew 6:7. Yet Roman Catholics think they expiate sin by repeating set numbers of Our Fathers and Hail Marys and other such pre-written prayers. And what is the rosary? Another trinket for sale in the church gift shop.

Catholics believe in transubstantiation, that the wine and wafer become the actual blood and body of Christ when ingested in the sacrament of the Eucharist. The taking of the Eucharist is a symbolic gesture of the heart, not a supernatural occurrence. Christ came to the whole world, and of the sharing of bread and wine said: do this in remembrance of me. Incidentally, the church also denies the Eucharist to non Catholics. I know this firsthand, for I once asked for it in a Catholic church, and the priest explained to me that it was being withheld from me for that very reason.

In the Bible it is written: What? Know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own? 1 Corinthians 6:19. And, Howbeit, the most High dwelleth not in temples made by hands; as saith the prophet. Acts 7:48 Yet the Roman Catholics flaunt their wealth and power as they amass riches and build massive stone temples adorned with silver and gold to a God who has said He does not dwell in such places.

In 2007, with the approval of Pope Benedict, the Catholic church released a document reasserting the primacy of the Roman Catholic Church. It also stated that Orthodox churches were defective, and that other Christian denominations were not true churches. This proved to be yet another demonstration of the Catholic church's ignorance of the Bible, and failure to acknowledge one Jesus’ most common teachings: And whosoever shall exalt himself shall be abased, and he that shall humble himself shall be exalted. Matthew 23:12

Compare the Catholic catechism to the Holy Scriptures and you will find many more such points of variance.

From the crusades to the selling of indulgences to inquisitions, to unthinkable abuses of children, the Catholic church has been infested by Satan from its inception—an infestation that continues to this very day. This is certainly to be expected—the Devil despises where Jesus resides--but a wise church would confront and reject the Devil's assays on its wall rather than succumbing to his evil rule.

President Obama leans on God in prayer and reads the Bible every morning. If you, Mr. Santorum, had leaned on God in prayer and read your Bible, as a Christian you would not support the social policies that you do, and you would not associate with a church so far removed, and with such arrogant self-assurance, from the Bible you hold so ‘sacred.’

Rick Santorum: Biblical Ignoramus

Have you ever listened to someone opine about a film they’ve never seen, or a book they’ve never read? They generally sound like fools; and that’s how the Republican presidential candidates usually come across whenever they bring up the Bible. First of all, we can invalidate Romney from this conversation, insomuch as his ‘sacred’ Book of Mormon was written by the nineteenth century equivalent of L Ron Hubbard. Romney’s thoughts are so muddled, confused and ever changing that I don’t think he knows Jesus Christ from the star of the latest Batman movie.

However, in a speech in Golden, Colorado on Monday, Rick Santorum repeated his belief that climate change is a massive hoax being perpetrated by liberal scientists. Santorum argued that the science supporting climate change has been hijacked by scientists on the left, and “is an absolute travesty of scientific research that was motivated by those who, in my opinion, saw this as an opportunity to create a panic and a crisis for government to be able to step in and more greatly control your life. I for one never bought the hoax.”

Additionally Santorum said: “We were put on this earth as creatures of God to have dominion over the Earth, to use it wisely and steward it wisely, but for our benefit not for the Earth’s benefit.”

If elected, Santorum has vowed to dismantle the Environmental Protection Agency, the same EPA whose regulations, if they hadn’t been undermined and weakened by the Bush administration, would have prevented the BP disaster in the Gulf of Mexico. How is that righteous Republicans respecting our Father and His creation by being good stewards of the Earth?

Since I have read the Bible, a few verses of scripture come to mind as apropos to Santorum’s remarks, which I regard as inane and in diametric opposition to Biblical truth.

In elaborating on ‘ask and ye shall receive,’ Jesus said: If a son shall ask bread of any of you that is a father, will he give him a stone? Or if he ask a fish, will he for a fish give him a serpent? Or if he shall ask an egg, will he offer him a scorpion. If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children…. Luke 11:11-13.

To which this author says, how much more evil will God regard this generation, which does give its children stones for bread and scorpions for eggs, insomuch as when a century from now, and this generation has passed away entirely leaving the earth a ravished, toxic wasteland for our progeny to make do with?

Last week hydraulic fracturing opponent and activist Carl Stiles died from mysterious illnesses contracted after fracking was begun near his Marcellus Shale home in Bradford County, PA. Others in the area are suffering similar symptoms. Is this good stewardship of the earth, or fulfillment of the stark prophecy of Revelation 8: 10-11 And the third angel sounded, and there fell a great star from heaven, burning as it were a lamp, and it fell upon the third part of the rivers, and upon the fountains of waters; And the name of the star is called Wormwood: and the third part of the waters became wormwood; and many men died of the waters, because they were made bitter.

It seems to me that much as they thump the Bible to justify their positions, Santorum and his fellow Republicans are on the wrong side of these biblical warnings, for a little further on in Revelation, chapter 11, verse 18, it is written: And the nations were angry, and thy wrath is come, and the time of the dead, that they should be judged, and that thou shouldest give reward unto the servants the prophets, and to the saints, and them that fear thy name, small and great; and shouldest destroy them which destroy the earth.

It’s one or the other Rick: the Bible plainly states that you are not going to be rewarded for destroying the earth, you’re going to be DESTROYED for so doing. (Last year I wrote an article which explores this theme in greater detail entitled: How Republicans Are Fulfilling Biblical Prophecy, replete with prophetic scriptures about the destruction of the earth and corroborating youtube videos.)

And P.S. Rick: In your ‘victory’ speech last night you blasted Obama for many things, including the banking industry bailout. That bailout was necessitated by Republican policy, and was signed into law by President BUSH. If you can't get the simple facts of recent history straight then you are unqualified to be president, and if you said it intentionally, anyone with even the most perfunctory understanding of the Bible knows that God detests liars.
